Well we have been celebrating today.  The King and Queen  have been here and I just got a glimpse at them as they passed by in their carriage, the procession was nine miles long an both sides of the road was packed with people.  You can't imagine how many people there is in a City like Manchester and I don't think there was many that was not out and the streets were decorated all over town and decorations in the Town Hall alone cost $50,000  so it was some time but I think if they had give what they have waisted on the King and Queen to the poor people here in Manchester they would have done more good for their country.

The ship my Grandpa Jackson returned from his mission in England on in October of 1913.

Interesting article about the Herald Square Hotel in New York City.  These ladies would have been there during the time my Grandpa stayed at the hotel.
