The Herald Square Hotel

I have not been able to get any historic photos of the Old Herald Square Hotel where Grandpa Lafayette stayed before heading to Montreal and then across to England.  I contacted staff from the the Herald Square and was told that the Herald Square that Grandpa stayed in is no longer in existence. I'm hoping that maybe Paige can dig up some more inf. and maybe photos on the original Herald Square Hotel while she is there.  Maybe the New York Public Library might have something along those lines.

Lafayette was called to serve as a missionary to the European Mission by Joseph F. Smith on August 11th, 1911.  The president of the Mission was, Rudger Clawson of the quorum of the Twelve Apostles. 

Lafayette served until his release on September 22, 1913 by E. Taft Benson, acting President of the European Mission located on 295 Edge Lane, Liverpool England.
